Proctology
Proctology is a branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases of the anus, rectum, and the terminal section of the digestive tract.
A proctologist addresses both chronic conditions and problems requiring urgent medical intervention.
The scope of proctological services includes, among others:
- Diagnosis and treatment of hemorrhoids.
- Treatment of anal fissures, fistulas, and perianal abscesses.
- Diagnosis of polyps, inflammatory changes, and neoplastic lesions in the rectum.
- Treatment of constipation and fecal incontinence.
- Diagnostic examinations, such as anoscopy, rectoscopy, and colonoscopy.
Symptoms that prompt a visit to a specialist include rectal bleeding, chronic pain, itching, a feeling of incomplete bowel emptying, lumps near the anus, or other concerning changes.
Modern diagnostic and therapeutic methods allow for fast and effective treatment of proctological conditions, often minimally invasive, which minimizes patient discomfort and shortens recovery time.
Visiting a proctologist is a key step in maintaining health and quality of life.

Range of services
Proctology consultation
from 250 PLN
A specialist visit with a proctologist, a doctor who diagnoses and treats diseases of the anus, rectum, and lower gastrointestinal tract. The consultation includes a detailed medical history, physical examination, and if necessary, a rectal examination or anoscopy. Indications for the visit include, among others, rectal bleeding, pain, itching, lumps, bowel movement problems, or suspicion of hemorrhoids, anal fissures, or fistulas. The visit is conducted in a discreet and comfortable atmosphere, respecting the patient’s privacy.
Proctology consultation + ultrasound
310 PLN
A visit with a proctologist combined with an ultrasound examination (transrectal or transabdominal) to precisely assess the structures of the anus, rectum, and surrounding tissues. The consultation includes medical history, physical examination, symptom assessment, and performing the ultrasound, which can detect abscesses, fistulas, tumors, inflammatory changes, or other abnormalities. This comprehensive diagnostic approach is particularly useful in complex cases requiring precise imaging. The visit is conducted with full comfort and discretion.
Hemorrhoid banding (Barron method)
from 400 PLN
Barron banding is a minimally invasive, painless procedure for treating internal hemorrhoids of grades I–III. It involves placing special rubber bands at the base of the hemorrhoidal tissue, causing ischemia, tissue necrosis, and spontaneous detachment within a few days. The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis, without anesthesia, and does not require hospitalization. It is an effective and safe method to reduce symptoms such as bleeding, itching, or prolapse of hemorrhoids, allowing a quick return to daily activities.
Anoscopy
from 400 PLN
Anoscopy is a short, non-invasive diagnostic examination of the lower anal canal and rectum using a speculum (anoscope). It allows precise evaluation of the mucous membrane and detection of conditions such as hemorrhoids, anal fissures, polyps, inflammation, or neoplastic changes. The examination lasts only a few minutes, can be performed on an outpatient basis, and usually requires no special preparation. It is well tolerated by patients and is an important part of proctological diagnostics.
Rectoscopy
from 400 PLN
Rectoscopy is an endoscopic examination of the rectum and the final section of the large intestine (up to approx. 25 cm), performed to diagnose gastrointestinal diseases such as bleeding, polyps, tumors, inflammation, or chronic constipation. It is carried out using a rigid speculum (rectoscope), usually without anesthesia. The examination lasts a few minutes and can be performed on an outpatient basis. Prior to rectoscopy, bowel cleansing is recommended (e.g., with a rectal laxative). It is an important tool in the prevention and diagnosis of rectal diseases.
